New Chief of Operations in Basra Announces Ban on Illegal Military Parades

The new chief of operations in Basra, Saad Mohsen Oreibi, has announced that no armed party will be allowed to hold military parades outside the law. This announcement comes after armed groups staged a parade with light and medium weapons in some areas of the province a few days ago. Oreibi was quoted by Al-Sumaria as saying that the law is above all and that the Basra Operations are aimed at maintaining security and stability in the Iraqi province, and this is done through cooperation with the leaders and security forces present in it.

Working on a Plan for Eid al-Adha and Ashura Ceremonies

Oreibi explained that they will be working on a plan to provide an atmosphere during the Eid al-Adha and Ashura ceremonies. This announcement follows the recent parade by armed groups and is a proactive measure to ensure the safety and security of those attending these important religious events.

Security Forces Deployed to Tamimiya District to Prevent Military Parade

Security sources reported that a wide-ranging security force was deployed to the Tamimiya district in the central province of Basra last Wednesday to prevent any Asaib Ahl al-Haq military parade. Tamimiya is one of the districts in which the Peace Brigades are stationed, and it was important to prevent any illegal parades from taking place. The peace brigades held a parade in the Karma Ali area, north of the center of Basra, but no other illegal parades were reported.

In conclusion, the new chief of operations in Basra has made it clear that illegal military parades will not be tolerated in the province. This announcement, combined with the deployment of security forces, is an important step in ensuring that the province remains safe and secure. As the plan for the upcoming religious events is developed, it is hoped that the people of Basra can enjoy these events in a peaceful and secure environment.
