Brazilian star Neymar, the French player for Paris Saint-Germain, said that a number of the team’s players do not understand how Argentine star Lionel Messi plays.
Messi joined Paris Saint-Germain last summer on a free transfer deal after failing to renew his contract with Barcelona but the Argentine star didn’t deliver what was expected of him at the Princes’ Garden.
Neymar told Canal+: “Leo spent many years at Barcelona, it is difficult to adapt, it is difficult to change teams and cities as well.
He added: “Me, Leo and Kylian are players who are always judged on performance, statistics, titles won and everything else. We know our responsibilities, and therefore we always try to do it the best we can.”
On Kylian Mbappe’s contract extension, Neymar said: “I admit I didn’t know anything about Kylian Mbappe’s contract extension until the last minute. His career, it’s good that he stays.”
