About 15 people have died and more than 23,000 people have been affected by floods and landslides during the rainy season in Niger, the Niger Civil Protection Service said today.
Zinder in the south of the arid Sahel province has been hardest hit, followed by Maradi and Diffa in the south.
At least 70 people were killed across the country last year, with more than 200,000 injured, according to local figures.
