Pakistani police arrested 12 terrorist elements in targeted operations based on intelligence they conducted in the eastern province of Punjab. A statement released today by the Anti-Terrorism Police Department said the detainees belonged to the banned al-Qaeda. and the Taliban Pakistan. They were arrested in three cities of the Punjab province, and they managed to go to the interrogations of the former detainees.
The statement confirms that security officials confiscated weapons, explosives and explosive vests from some of them, as they planned to carry out terrorist operations against vital facilities in the region.
