The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned in the strongest terms the brutal Israeli occupiers and extremist settler groups for their actions on the roof and walls of the Ibrahim Mosque, in flagrant violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions, and a clear provocation of the feelings of citizens and Muslims.
In a statement today, she said: “He considers this aggression an integral part of the occupation projects aimed at perpetuating the theft and Judaization of the Ibrahim Mosque by changing its landmarks and historical and civilizational identity. The narratives of the occupation and its colonial plans, and this aggression is a blatant challenge to the American and regional efforts to stem the escalation.
UNESCO and the relevant UN organizations demanded to break the silence and condemn these activities and measures and to activate fact-finding committees to review the details of the Judaization operations of these historical sites and places of worship, and to take the necessary measures to pressure the occupier to stop them immediately.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs confirmed that this violation and other forms of constant aggression against holy places, especially the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, are further evidence of the occupiers’ intentions to escalate the situation and their rejection of calls and efforts for calm.
