A Palestinian youth was killed and four others were injured after the Israeli army opened fire on them yesterday after storming the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
A statement from the Palestinian health ministry said a civilian died of severe wounds after being shot in the stomach by the Israeli army in Jenin.
And local Palestinian sources reported that Mahmoud Al-Saadi (17) was severely wounded in the stomach by Israeli army bullets. He was transferred to the Ibn Sina hospital in Jenin.
In addition, four other Palestinian civilians were wounded by shelling by Israeli forces, resulting in the arrest of another Palestinian youth who accused him of opening fire on their forces.
On the other hand, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry expressed its surprise at the lack of international response to “the terrorism of the settlers and their barbaric attacks on civilians in Hebron in the occupied West Bank”, as it described it.
And she said in a statement Sunday night that “this absence reflects double international standards and exposes the fallacy of the positions of countries that praise the principles of human rights and declare their commitment to a two-state solution.”
She emphasized that these countries are “afraid to voice any criticism of the Zionist enemy or hold him responsible for the attacks of the settlers and their racist colonial attacks.”
And Ahmed al-Tibi, an Arab representative in the Israeli Knesset, posted a photo of a Palestinian child being attacked by settlers in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, criticizing the lack of a statement from Israeli leaders condemning the incident.
