The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association has warned team fans against repeating “hurtful chants and collective insults” and has threatened to ban them from attending matches for the rest of the current season’s league if it happens again.

The League recently imposed a series of fines on fans of Al-Ahli, Al-Ittihad and Ismaili clubs in Alexandria, and then issued a statement warning of a repeat of such actions.

The association said in a statement: “Since the main concern of the Egyptian Professional Club Association from the first day of its existence has been the return of the masses, maintaining their presence and support, providing them with all the elements of ideal encouragement and maintaining sportsmanship, in the stands of football stadiums, the association will spare no effort to achieve these goals, draws its strength from the support of the clubs and their desire to fight against all manifestations of deviation from the norm in our stadiums.

And regarding the club association’s recent fines against some fans of Al Ahly Club, Al Ittihad Alexandria Club and Al Ismaili Club due to collective chants and insults, if such chants are repeated, the direct punishment will be a ban on attending league matches until the end of the current football season.

And the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association has decided to fine Al-Ahly club £20,000 for the collective insults of its fans in Farko’s last league match.

The league also took the decision to keep 3,000 Al Ahly fans out of two matches due to insults against game elements and clubs.
