Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to increase the strength of the armed forces by 137,000 people, bringing their total strength to 1,150,628 people.
The decision is published on the portal of legal information. According to the previous resolution of November 17, 2017, the strength of the Russian Armed Forces was 1,902,758 people, including 1,013,628 military personnel.
The new decree provides that “the size of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is limited to 2,039,758 people, including 1,560,628 servicemen.”
