Today the British government announced that eight parts of England are officially in a state of drought and water levels continue to decline.
This came after eight parts of England were hit by drought, including: Devon, Kent, East Anglia and Lincolnshire.
The five water companies also announced stricter controls on water use, including a ban on the use of water hoses.
These controls come as dry weather, combined with the current heat wave and record temperatures in July, drain rivers and groundwater supplies.
