Yesterday in Tehran, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi discussed the developments in Iran’s nuclear program after the discovery of particles of uranium enriched to a level close to the creation of an atomic bomb. During his visit, Grossi aims to get “more reliable access to the website and more checks.
The brief visit came a year after the Argentine diplomat’s visit to Tehran in March 2022 and coincided with talk of a possible deal to resume talks on the Iranian nuclear dossier.
Grossi is an Argentine diplomat, the sixth Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the first diplomat from South America to hold this post, from July 2013 to 2019 he was the Ambassador of Argentina to Austria.
