Remote work of civil servants during the World Cup in Qatar

Qatar Government Communications Authority spokesman Dr. Muhammad Noimi Al-Hajri gave details of Cabinet decisions regarding the official working hours of government agencies and details of the opening hours of the education sector during FIFA World. Qatar Cup 2022.

Dr. Muhammad Noimi Al-Hajri said that from Tuesday, November 1 next year, until Monday, December 19, 2022, the number of employees present at public employers will be reduced to 20% of the total number of employees for each organization. while 80% of employees will start their work remotely. Regarding the opening hours under the new system, Al-Hajri clarified that it would be from 7 am to 11 am, excluding military, security, medical and educational areas, stressing that vital services in the country would not be affected.

Al-Hajri said that the system of work in the educational sector has decided that the working hours in public and private schools will be from November 1 to November 17, 2022 for employees and students in public and private schools that apply national standards, from 7 am to 12 hours of the day, provided that Semi-annual leave from November 20 to December 22 of this year. A spokesman for the Government Communications Authority said the private sector would carry on with its normal activities during the World Cup.
