Due to restrictions on Facebook on on the same day, Russia media regulator Roskomnadzor blocked Twitter on Friday, according to Russian news agencies.
According to Interfax and RIA Novosti news agencies, access to Twitter has been restricted on the base of a request of the Attorney General from February 24 – the day of Russia invasion of Ukraine.
A journalist of Agence France-Presse (AFP) has confirmed that Twitter is no longer refreshing son flux in Russia.
Roskomnadzor did not issue a statement to explain the reasons behind the decision.
Earlier on Friday, the media the watchdog said he was blocking facebook in Russia over several cases of “discrimination” against the state media.
