The Russian Defense Ministry reported that as a result of the bombing of a prison with Ukrainian prisoners of war by Ukrainian troops, dozens of people were killed and injured.
Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said 40 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, while Konashenkov called the strike an “outright provocation”, saying the attack was intended to “intimidate” Ukrainian soldiers into not surrendering.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister denied this, saying that Russia is a terrorist state by bombing places where Ukrainian prisoners of war are being held.
