Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has inspected a “command post” on the front in eastern Ukraine where the battle for the symbolic city of Bakhmut is taking place, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday. The ministry said that Shoigu “inspected the command post to the front” in the direction “Donetsk-south”. Without specifying the exact place and date of this visit.
During a meeting with the military leaders of the region, Shoigu emphasized the importance of comprehensive support for the forces of this unit, as well as providing medical care and organizing the work of support units.
The Russian Defense Minister also expressed his gratitude to all servicemen performing their duties in the special operation area and awarded a number of servicemen with medals.
