Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized the importance of Russian-Arab relations and ways to strengthen them in various fields, noting that the sixth meeting of the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum at the level of foreign ministers is currently planned to be held as soon as possible. . Lavrov said this before the ceremony of the Council of the Arab League at the level of delegates, which took place today at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in the presence of its Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit and the permanent delegates of the Council of the League of Arab States.
The meeting was attended by the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Abdul Rahman bin Saeed Al-Juma.
Lavrov expressed gratitude for the Arab League’s interest in the situation in Ukraine, praising the balanced, fair and responsible position taken by the Arab League member states in this regard.
On the Palestinian issue, the Russian minister called for the revival of the Jerusalem Agreement and the settlement of the Palestinian crisis.
