The pro-Russian separatist leader in Donetsk claimed that Russia invasion will be over soon.
“The liberation movement will be over fairly quickly”, the chief of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic declared hours after Russia invasion.
“I can say it’s going to end soon”, said Denis Pushilin, noting that the military venture East in full force and that all towns and villages in the region will be released soon.
Early Thursday, explosions were reported in several Ukrainian provinces, including the capital Kyivet, tanks reportedly crossed the border between Belarus and Ukraine.
the news followed Russian President Vladimir Putin announcing a military intervention in Ukraine, just days after recognizing two enclaves held by the separatists in Eastern Ukraine. The gratitude of Donetsk and Luhansk did match bad international condemnation and threats of tougher punishments against Moscow.
Russia raised over 100,000 troops around Ukraine in in recent months, but Putin has repeatedly denied any intention of invasive.
