A training course on the management of acute and severe malnutrition was held yesterday in Aden Governorate with the support of the King Salman Center for 50 emergency room health workers from four major hospitals in Aden, Lahj, Al Dali and Hadhramawt Governorates. aid and humanitarian action in partnership with the World Health Organization. The course is aimed at improving the skills of medical professionals in the treatment of severe acute diseases associated with malnutrition, the provision of medical care in the field of health and nutrition in pediatric and emergency departments, identifying all cases of admission of children to hospitals, as well as ensuring prompt identification of the type of malnutrition and appropriate treatment and referral.
This comes as part of the ongoing support provided by the Kingdom through the King Salman Assistance Center to health sector institutions in Yemen and to ensure the proper rehabilitation of the medical workforce.
