Today, the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid signed three joint agreements with a civil society organization to implement a package of health and environmental projects for the benefit of Yemen.
The agreements were signed by Assistant Director General for Operations and Programs Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al Bayez at the center’s headquarters in Riyadh and Dr. According to the first agreement, the Al-Jaada Medical Center in the Khairan district of the Hajja province will operate with the aim of improving the health status of the population. health services in and around the Midi region, adding that comprehensive health services, nutritional services, immunization, reproductive health services, children, information and health education, mist spraying, medical waste disposal, epidemic disease treatment and prevention will be provided information and educational services. Medical services, emergency care, trauma care, provision of medicines and laboratory solutions, and provision of ancillary medical services (radiology, laboratory), which will benefit 88,470 people.
Al-Moallem also indicated that the second agreement includes the implementation of a water supply and environmental sanitation project in Hajja province to help reduce water and sanitation-related morbidity in Hiran, Midi, Abs and Harad districts in Hajj. and Al-Ajour camp in Razeh district in Sa’ada governorate, through access to water and sanitation and supplies. Personal hygiene and awareness of displaced persons and the host community, noting that solar-powered wells will be dug and restored, supply and installation. pumping and liquefied networks, construction, rehabilitation, rehabilitation and supply of collection and distribution tanks, supply and installation of drinking water desalination plants, transport and distribution of water by road, and distribution of water storage tanks, in addition to conducting fuzzy and larval spraying campaigns to combat disease vectors that will benefit 51,128 people.
Regarding the third agreement, Dr. Al-Moallem stated that under it, a system of mobile medical clinics will be operated and installed in Waalan, Abs, Al-Gharza and Al-Dair districts in the province of Hajja with the aim of preserving the lives of displaced and host communities through an integrated approach to the development of health care in some areas of the governorate, in addition to the preparation of mobile clinics and the provision of medicines and medical supplies, as well as primary and emergency medical care, medical waste disposal and environmental protection, and will benefit 31,732 person.
