Social media trailblazers have circulated a video clip of former Al-Ahli defender Abdulaziz Omar, the famed Basmadou, bitterly lamenting the state of his Al-Ahli team.
Samado said in a circulated clip and he appeared to be speaking from the Radioactive Jewel stadium after the whistle at the end of the Al Raed match, crying with tears: “None of these players deserve to play Al Ahly”, while the one who spoke to him tried to calm him and console him, saying: “Your tears are dear to us.”
Al Ahli lost 3-1 to Al Raed last Thursday, bringing the team closer to relegation to the first division for the first time in history. Samado is regarded as one of the most prominent defenders in Saudi football throughout history as he was known for his fighting spirit and unparalleled men’s play.
