The delegation of the Saudi-Azerbaijani Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Shura Council, headed by Council member Dr. Fayez Al-Shehri, began an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan. The delegation met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, during which they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, and ways to intensify bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahaba Gafarova also met with the delegation and got acquainted with bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in various areas, especially parliamentary relations, praising the depth and strength of relations between the two countries, which are undergoing rapid development.
At the same level, the Saudi-Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Shura Council held a meeting with the Azerbaijani-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, headed by Fatma Yildirim.
During the meeting, they discussed areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries, emphasizing the importance of intensifying the role of parliamentary friendship committees and holding bilateral meetings in a way that would help strengthen cooperation between the two councils.
