Saudi Men’s and Women’s Teams to Compete in 3×3 Western Asian Basketball Championship Under 23

The first Saudi men’s and women’s teams are set to compete in the 3×3 Western Asian Basketball Championship Under 23, which will take place from June 20 to 26, 2023 in Doha, Qatar. The Saudi Arabia national team is grouped with Qatar, Jordan, and Turkmenistan, and will begin their tournament against Qatar.

Match Schedule

The women’s team will play their first match against Qatar at 15:00, while the men’s team will play their first match against Qatar at 15:50. The women’s team will face their Jordanian counterpart at 16:50 and the men’s team will face theirs at 12:00 pm and 5:40 pm. The last match in the first round will see the Saudi teams compete against their Turkmenistan counterparts, with the women’s team playing at 6:40 pm and the men’s team at 19:30.

Team Composition

The Saudi Arabia men’s team includes players Manaf Al Salem, Rayyan Al Ahmad, Abdul Malik Ashour, Hazem Al Johar, Sultan Al Arir, Saad Al Subaye, Salem Al Barir, and Abdul Rahman bin Mahfouz. The women’s team consists of Jana Balgit, Lama Al Khamis, Maha Al Khatlan, Dar Bali, Noura Al Nuwaisir, Hessa Al Murshid, Rayman Al Ahmadi, and Dima Al Shanifi. The coaching staff is overseen by Kevin Kor, with assistance from Turki Al-Muhanna, physical education coach Hani Asi, and team manager Saeed Al-Faraj.
