The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States expressed their deep concern over the serious violations of the ceasefire and the Jeddah Declaration by both the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces. They also note that civilians and the Sudanese people have suffered as a result of the violations. and hinder the delivery of humanitarian assistance and the restoration of essential services. As soon as it becomes clear that the parties are really serious about respecting the ceasefire, both sides are ready to resume pending discussions in order to find a negotiated solution to this conflict.
To this end, we urge both sides to seriously adhere to the ceasefire and support humanitarian efforts to meet the humanitarian needs of the Sudanese people.
