The Jordanian army said a number of its troops were injured by phosphorus bombs while they were clearing old explosives at a munitions destruction site. Several phosphorus bombs exploded at one of the munitions destruction sites. He added that the explosion caused flames and strong phosphorus smoke.
He explained that as a result of the inhalation of phosphorus by the people involved in the bombing, this caused some of them to become short of breath, and they were transferred to the hospital for treatment, and their health condition is good. He also indicated that one of the patients suffered second-degree burns on his arms and left leg and was transferred to Al Hussein Medical City for treatment and follow-up.
