Today, at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Minister for Cabinet Affairs Osman Hussein Osman chaired the periodic meeting of the Supreme Committee to review the Renaissance Dam case.
The meeting heard a briefing by the Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Daw Al-Bayt Abdul Rahman Mansour on the second round of negotiations held in the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting stressed the need to achieve mutual understanding between the three countries, taking into account the highest strategic interests between them.
Notably, the Supreme Committee to Investigate the Renaissance Dam case held its first meeting earlier this month after it was reformed, led by Minister of Cabinet Affairs Otman Hussein Osman, and reviewed the objectives, terms of reference and methodology. his work, as well as the need to keep an eye on the Renaissance Dam case and work to support Sudan’s negotiating position in a way that takes into account higher strategic interests.
