The Sultanate of Oman experienced a rare power outage on Monday that affected the capital Muscat.

The Oman News Agency, in a tweet, quoted the Public Services Regulatory Authority that “the provinces most affected by the sudden power outage are Muscat, parts of Al Batinah South, Al Sharqiya North and South, and Al Dahiliya.” The authorities announced that “a gradual resumption of electricity supply to all parts of the grid is expected over the next four hours.”
