Sweden’in Crown Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel, denied rumors on Saturday that they intend to divorce.
“There are allegations circulating about cheating and an imminent divorce in the relationship,” said a statement from the Swedish Royal Court, signed by the royal couple on “Instagram.”
“Under normal circumstances, we do not comment on rumors and speculation. But to protect our family, we would like to make it clear once and for all that the rumors currently circulating are unfounded.”
“The extraordinary comment was made after a long rumor circulating despite repeated denials in the media,” Margareta Torgren, head of the royal court’s media department, told Swedish newspaper Expressen.
This official denial came after a Swedish celebrity news website spread news of a crisis in the royal couple’s relationship.
