Both sides agreed on the importance of resolving humanitarian difficulties, creating suitable conditions for the delivery of assistance to all regions of Syria, creating the necessary conditions for the return of Syrian refugees and displaced persons to their areas, ending their suffering, allowing them to return. return safely to their homeland, and take further measures that would contribute to the stabilization of the situation in the country throughout the Syrian territory.
The parties stressed the importance of strengthening security and combating terrorism in all its forms and organizations, expanding cooperation in the fight against smuggling and drug trafficking, as well as the need to support Syrian state institutions, expand their control over its lands in order to stop the presence of armed groups there and outside interference in the internal affairs of Syria.
The parties also discussed the necessary steps to achieve a comprehensive political solution to the Syrian crisis, which will put an end to all its consequences, ensure national reconciliation and contribute to the return of Syria to its Arab environment and the restoration of its natural role in the Arab world. world.
The parties welcomed the start of procedures for the resumption of consular services and flights between the two countries. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic expressed gratitude to Syria for the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to end the Syrian crisis, as well as for providing them with humanitarian and emergency assistance to the victims of the earthquakes that hit Syria.
