Tenth Arab Conference of Officials on Tourism Security begins in Tunisia

Today, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of the Interior in the capital of Tunisia, the work of the Tenth Arab Conference of Officials on Tourism Security began with the participation of representatives of the ministries of the interior of the Arab countries, as well as the League of Arab States, the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, the World Tourism organization and the Arab Tourism Organization, as well as the Arab University of Security Sciences. In his opening speech, Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Koman, Secretary General of the Council of Arab Ministers of the Interior, referred to the impact of the pandemic (Covid-19) on the security of tourism in the Arab countries, calling for the need for security in this vital sector, and emphasizing the importance of focusing on modern communication technologies to support the security services.Tourist in such a way as to enhance the sense of confidence among tourists and promote the demand for Arab tourist sites.

For his part, the chairman of the conference, Lieutenant Colonel Khalifa bin Saif Al Maktoumi, emphasized the importance of the tourism sector in economic activity, pointing out the importance of taking additional security measures to improve the tourism sector in the Arab countries.
