His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister, received a phone call today from Ms Liz Terrace, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. During the telephone conversation, His Highness the Crown Prince expressed condolences to the Prime Minister on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and also congratulated King Charles III on his accession to the throne of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
His Highness the Crown Prince congratulated her on her country’s election as prime minister, wished her success in her work and expressed hope for working together for the benefit of the two countries and peoples.
The Prime Minister expressed her gratitude to His Highness the Crown Prince for his role in the prisoner exchange process, which resulted in the release of 5 British prisoners.
During a telephone conversation, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of their development within the framework of the Saudi Arabia-UK Strategic Partnership Council.
