The General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of the Interior, based in the capital of Tunisia, announced today that the 46th Arab Police and Security Leadership Conference will be held next Monday in the city of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Today’s statement said that the conference will be attended by police and security leaders, Arabs and high-ranking security officials in various Arab countries, as well as representatives from the Gulf Cooperation Council, the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL). , United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, African Union Mechanism for Police Cooperation and European Law Enforcement Training Agency European Commission Counter-Terrorism and Criminal Justice Project, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and Arab police sports federation.
The conference, which will last two days, will discuss a number of important topics on the agenda, such as money laundering crimes, the importance of the role of the official representative of the security service, the recommendations of the meetings of the leaders of the security sectors and committee meetings held under the General Secretariat in 2022 of our 2022 AD, and to submit a report on the work of the Arab Police Sports Federation for 2022 AD, in addition to reviewing the outstanding security practices of some member states.
The conference will consider a draft Arab strategy to combat crimes related to trafficking in human beings and human organs, prepared by a specialized committee convened within the General Secretariat earlier this year.
During the conference, the winning entries will be presented in an educational film competition held annually by the General Secretariat in an effort to raise awareness of crime and prevent its dangers.
The conference will also be accompanied by special celebrations to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the first conference of Arab leaders of the police and security forces in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, in 1972.
