His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the Interior, and his brother, General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain, chaired the second meeting of the Committee for Security and Military Coordination established by Saudi Arabia – Bahraini Coordinating Council at the Ministry of Interior Office, Riyadh, today. At the beginning of the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud welcomed the Minister of the Interior of Bahrain and the delegation accompanying him and conveyed to them the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman. bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and their wishes – God bless them – the success of the meeting and the final results contribute, with God’s help, to the preservation and strengthening of the security of the two fraternal countries.
His Highness the Minister of the Interior noted the well-established historical brotherly relationship, which has become an example of strategic cooperation in the use of resources and capabilities to protect the common interests of the two brotherly countries, noting that the meeting is taking place as a continuation of strengthening cooperation and coordination in areas of security of common interest.
For his part, His Excellency Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the historical relationship between the two countries contributes to strengthening interdependence in the field of security, noting the special relationship between the ministries of internal affairs of the two countries. countries that have seen tangible developments in various areas of security.
At the meeting, agenda items were discussed, a number of necessary recommendations and initiatives were adopted.
The meeting also saw the signing of an agreement on security cooperation between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
From the Saudi side, His Highness Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mashari, Assistant Minister of the Interior for Technical Affairs, HE Director of the National Information Center Dr. Essam Al-Waqit, HE Deputy Minister of the Interior, HE Dr. Hisham Al-Falih and His Excellency Director General of the Passport Department and Deputy Minister of the Interior for Civil Status Lieutenant General Suleiman attended the meeting Al-Yahya and His Excellency Director General of Public Security, Lieutenant General Muhammad al-Bassami and a number of high-ranking officials of the Ministry internal affairs.
From the Bahraini side, Sheikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom, His Excellency Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Deputy Minister of the Interior for Citizenship, Passports and Residence Mr. Muhammad Ali Al Qaeed, Director General of the Directorate of Information and e-Government, and His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of Customs, and a number of officials from the Bahrain Ministry of the Interior.
