The Asian Football Confederation announced on Wednesday that the kingdom officially received the honor of hosting the 2027 Asian Cup during the Confederation’s General Assembly meeting in Manama. Prior to this, the competition had been limited to India and Saudi Arabia after Qatar withdrew after managing to secure the rights to host the tournament in 2023 instead of China.
