His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazwani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, today received His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the presidential residence in the capital city of Nouakchott. During the reception, His Highness conveyed the regards of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense – God save them – and their wishes to the government and further progress and prosperity to the people of the fraternal Mauritanian Islamic Republic. His Excellency conveyed his greetings and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Highness the Crown Prince, as well as to the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the reception, aspects of Saudi-Mauritanian relations and areas of bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of development and economy, as well as a number of regional issues and efforts made in relation to them, were considered.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Minister of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Sami Al Saleh, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Mauritania, Mohammed bin Ayed Al Balawi, and Director General of His Highness the Minister’s Office.
