The Release of Assassin’s Creed Codename Red Could be Planned for The Year 2024
Arisa Lagunzad, an executive for business development and brand relationship at Ubisoft, stated the company was looking for a Japanese partner to work on “the biggest blockbuster of 2024” in a previous post on LinkedIn this year.

Since the post was brought to our attention today by Access The Animus, it appears that it has been altered to omit any reference to the year 2024. However, the original Japanese language translation that can be found on LinkedIn continues to read: “We are seeking sponsoring partner for this title Assassin’s Creed Codename RED for next year.”
Both Google Translate and the online translation service DeepL have produced translations of the original language that corroborate 2024 as the release date for the action role-playing game.
Codename Red is expected to be released in the following year. According to its sources, the game was in good development, would have two playable characters, and would significantly emphasize stealth gameplay.

Future of Assassin’s Creed Franchise
Ubisoft provided a glimpse into the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise in September of last year when it announced that Codename Red would be one of the six next installments in the series.
It was stated that the following two flagship games after Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which will be launched this year, will be given the codenames Red and Hexe and will be released as a part of the new Infinity franchise center, which will be a live service venture unveiled in 2021.
According to the publisher, the Assassin’s Creed series has reportedly sold over 200 million copies since it was first released in 2007. Red, produced by the Odyssey developer Ubisoft Quebec and has the same creative director, will begin what Ubisoft calls “period three” in the Assassin’s Creed series. Red also has the same creative director.
