The ‘Renewable Energy Forum’ launched in London today, hosted by the Saudi-British Joint Business Council (SBJBC) in partnership with the Mayor of the City of London, to discuss investment opportunities and partnerships in renewable energy and clean technology. .
Deputy Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Hassan Al-Allah, in a speech delivered on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the UK, welcomed visitors and participants, explaining that the forum is looking for innovative solutions to maximize economic benefits from the energy sector as a whole; and a study of the balance between energy access and meeting emissions commitments.
Saudi-British Joint Business Council Co-Chair Dr. Imad Al-Tuqair said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has a strong relationship of trust with the United Kingdom, explaining that the Renewable Energy Forum aims to develop partnerships between the two countries in the development of clean energy.
For his part, Charles Bowman, former Mayor of the City of London, in a speech delivered on behalf of the Mayor of the City of London, Vincent Kevney, praised the bilateral relationship between the two countries and the historical ties that have brought them together over the past years, highlighting the UK’s willingness to work with the Kingdom Saudi Arabia to succeed. Saudi Vision 2030 programs in all areas, including renewable energy, using British experience and investment opportunities provided by the United Kingdom.
The forum featured closed discussions between Saudi companies and British investors on investment opportunities offered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the areas of renewable energy, fintech and encouraging greater partnerships in clean energy development.
The forum aims to discuss investment and partnership opportunities in the field of renewable energy and clean technologies, including hydrogen production, as well as on several main topics, including: clean and renewable energy programs in both countries and investment opportunities in them, in addition to financing clean energy projects and the role in them of each of the public investments of Saudi Arabia and the City of London.
