Yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Armed Forces killed 20 Ukrainian servicemen and destroyed military equipment during an enemy attack in the Krasnolimansky direction. The statement of the Ministry of Defense says that in the direction of Kobyansk, Ukrainian forces tried to attack the positions of Russian troops in the cities of Pershutravnev, Orlyanka and Berestov, Kharkiv region, where there were more than 25 Ukrainian servicemen, a tank, five armored personnel carriers and four pickup trucks were neutralized. The Defense Ministry added that units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine sought to break through the defenses of the Russian troops in the direction of the settlement of Chervonobovka in Luhansk, where the enemy was repulsed by air strikes, artillery fire and defense forces, and the Ukrainian forces suffered losses from 20 to 30 Ukrainian soldiers and two combat vehicles infantry. The Russian Air Force also attacked four command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the cities of Stepovaya Novoselovka, Kharkiv region, Davidov Brod and Andreevka, Kherson region, and Olinevka, Mykolaiv region. Also, in the area of the village of Dvorchnaya, an ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed, and in the Yagodnensky district of Kharkov and the Donetsk People’s Republic, three drones were shot down by air defense means in one day. For his part, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called on city governors to monitor the use of electricity against the backdrop of massive power outages in Ukraine. In his video message, Zelensky said: “In many cities and regions, energy companies have to resort to shutdown schedules for stability. This is done to ensure that energy is available to everyone in conditions in which it is impossible to produce the required amount of energy.” Zelensky urged the people of Ukraine to save electricity and reduce the use of technologies that consume a lot of energy. In addition, the Ukrainian government on Sunday accused Russia of obstructing the implementation of the agreement on the transportation of grain through the Black Sea, while calling for it to be extended. On the other hand, Moscow has repeatedly complained about the implementation of the agreement and has threatened to re-evaluate its cooperation with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and his staff if they send experts to Ukraine to test drones that Western powers say were manufactured in Iran. “Russia is deliberately preventing the full implementation of the grain initiative, as a result of which a few days ago Ukrainian ports were loaded with only 25-30 percent of their capacity,” the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine said in a Telegram message on Sunday. In this context, Kyiv authorities said seven ships carrying grain left its ports on Sunday heading for Asia and Europe, calling for a renewal of the agreement amid fears of Moscow’s rejection. Russia has expressed concern about whether it will agree to extend the deal beyond the November 19 deadline, as it has repeatedly made claims about its implementation. For its part, Gennady Gatilov, Russia’s ambassador to the UN in Geneva, said last week that Moscow had sent a letter to UN Secretary General António Guterres containing a list of complaints.
