Today, His Excellency Public Prosecutor Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al Mojeb presided over the Periodic Meeting of the Distinguished Chief District Attorneys at Asir Attorney’s Office, in the presence of His Excellency Public Prosecutor Sheikh Shalan bin Rajeh Al Shalaan and the Assistant Deputy Ministers.
The meeting began with a speech in which he reiterated the interest of the state – may God support it – under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God preserve them – in judicial institutions, concern for legislative and legal development in the Kingdom, and constant attention to to the judiciary, including the prosecutor’s office, which has strengthened the rapid justice system in its institution. The defendants have developed their judicial work and enabled them to exercise their powers with full independence, in accordance with the latest international prosecution systems.
He praised the outstanding relationship between the regional prosecutors and state authorities, the synergy of joint work between them and the increase in the efficiency of management procedures, which contributed to the maintenance and improvement of the level of criminal justice. primarily on issues of prisoners and detainees, in addition to strengthening control and inspection trips to prisons and pre-trial detention centers, periodically questioning prisoners and receiving their complaints.
His Excellency stressed the need to comply with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure and its by-laws, as well as other prison systems, as well as the fight against organized crime, especially financial and cross-border.
It should be noted that this meeting is held annually, which reviews progress reports and performance indicators of judicial and administrative parliamentary work, as well as discusses some parliamentary criminal procedures and approves some legal recommendations for criminal procedures carried out by the prosecutor’s office.
