Japanese authorities have arrested Haruyuki Takahashi, a member of the organizing committee for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, on suspicion of accepting a bribe from a well-known local company.
Takahashi, 78, was a member of the Organizing Committee for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games last summer.
Takahashi received €370,000 from local costume company Aoki in consulting fees, according to Tokyo prosecutors.
The Japanese authorities also arrested Hironori Aoki, a former employee of the aforementioned company, and two others who allegedly received bribes.
