In the presence of Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf and Central Asian Cooperation Council, the work of the Joint Ministerial Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and Central Asia will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Er- Riyadh, led by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs – Chairman of the current session – Council of Ministers of the Cooperation Council.
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, explained that the meeting will discuss areas of strengthening strategic relations and joint cooperation between the two parties to seek stability, security, peace and friendship and serve common interests in the political, economic and cultural fields, in order to satisfy the aspirations of both sides.
His Excellency noted that the trip he made to the Central Asian Republics in the first week of August last year, during which Memorandums of Understanding were signed between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Central Asian Republics, reflected a strong interest in establishing an institutional framework for a relationship that serve both sides and improve the prospects for strategic dialogue in the light of the presence of many ties Joint historical and cultural dialogue, where the first joint meeting of the strategic dialogue will be held in Riyadh to set a new stage for moving relations into wider and more hospitable areas, in accordance with the directives Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council States – may God keep and protect them – to strengthen and strengthen the position of the Gulf Cooperation Council at the regional and international levels as a model for security, stability and development.
