Tomorrow kicks off the 1/8 finals… fierce football battles that will decide 8 matches

The 1/8 finals of the World Cup kick off on Saturday and will feature 16 teams from the group stage, which includes 32 countries.

The United States and the Netherlands have qualified and will play on Saturday, as well as Argentina and Australia.

The Netherlands qualified as the winners of their first group, while the United States finished second in the second group.

Argentina were the winners of Group C.

Australia beat Denmark 1-0 on Wednesday to reach the round of 16 of the World Cup for the first time in 16 years thanks to a great goal from Matthew Leckie.

Sunday matches

In turn, France qualified, and its Sunday match against Poland, and on the same evening the England-Senegal match.

England made it to the round of 16 of the World Cup on Tuesday, topping Group 2 after a second-half brace from Marcus Rashford and a strike from Phil Foden sent them to a 3-0 thrashing of relegated neighbors Wales.

Senegal finished second in Group C and Poland finished second in the same group. As for France, they qualified as the leader of Group D.

Monday

Japan have qualified to play Croatia on Monday, with the second match still pending, awaiting the outcome of Friday’s group stage final.

Winger Ritsu Doan and midfielder Ao Tanaka helped Japan beat Spain 2-1 in Group E of the FIFA World Cup at the Khalifa International Stadium on Thursday to advance to the knockout stage, with Japan topping the group.

Tuesday – Morocco’s turn

After losing to Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Qatar, these three Arab countries were eliminated from the World Cup and their participation was limited to the group stage only.

Of the Arab countries, only Morocco advanced to the 1/8 finals, and on Tuesday it will meet with Spain.

Morocco advanced to the round of 16 of the World Cup for the first time in 36 years, beating Canada 2-1 to top Group F at the expense of Croatia at Al-Tumama Stadium in Doha on Thursday.

Morocco extended their lead to seven points for two wins and a draw, compared to five points for Croatia, who at the same time drew with Belgium without goals.

The issue of Tuesday night’s second leg is yet to be decided pending the outcome of Friday’s group stage final.

Four teams

There are 4 teams left to qualify for the Round of 16 and Friday’s matches will decide their case. Of the 8 teams competing today, 4 will advance to the Round of 16.

South Korea, Portugal, Ghana and Uruguay will play in the group stage on Friday. In the next group Serbia will play Switzerland and Cameroon will face Brazil.

And in group G with Serbia one point, Switzerland 3 points, Cameroon one point and Brazil 6 points.

Brazil have secured qualification and will be in the lead if they win or draw. If she loses and Switzerland wins, the advantage will be determined by goal difference.

Switzerland will qualify if they win. They will qualify in the event of a tie, with the exception of Cameroon winning and a goal difference against them. It will be eliminated if lost.

Serbia and Cameroon need to win to qualify. And if they win together, goal difference and the rest of the criteria listed below will be used. Serbia will qualify if they win and Cameroon fails to beat Brazil.

And in group H with South Korea one point, Portugal 6 points, Ghana 3 points and Uruguay with one point.

Portugal have secured qualification and will be in the lead if they win or draw. If he loses and Ghana wins, the advantage will be determined by goal difference.

Ghana will qualify if Uruguay wins. In the event of a tie, South Korea will qualify if South Korea does not win, and if the latter wins, goal difference will be used.

Uruguay and South Korea are eliminated if they lose or draw. In the event that they win together, they resort to goal difference.
