An Iranian news agency reported that a member of the border troops was killed in the line of duty in the Saravan border region of Sistan and Balochistan province in the southeast of the country.
The Iranian Border Forces Media Center reported that duty officer Mohammad Reza Moqaddam Sobhani of the border guard unit in the border region of Sarawan was wounded while performing his security duties in the area bordering the state of Pakistan.
The same source added that the serviceman who defended the country’s borders was taken to hospital immediately after being wounded, but died from his injuries.
The official agency did not name the cause of the injury.
