President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held today, Sunday, a trilateral summit, which was attended by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan in Sharm el-Sheikh.
It was stated by Ambassador Bassam Radi, Spokesman for the President of the Republic, that the President welcomed his two brothers, a Bahraini and a Jordanian, as dear guests in Egypt, expressing his appreciation for the close and historical relations that unite the three countries at the official and popular levels, emphasizing Egypt’s desire to expand constructive cooperation between Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan, to achieve the common interests of their brotherly peoples and to intensify efforts for joint Arab action, especially in light of the great challenges arising from numerous regional and international developments.
For their part, the two Egyptian guests highly appreciated the close ties that unite the three countries, emphasizing their desire to raise cooperation with Egypt to the level of a strategic partnership in a way that maximizes the opportunities and potential of the three countries. inherent in the relationship of cooperation between them, in addition to the fact that this relationship represents a cornerstone for maintaining regional security and stability and rebalancing the region in light of the key importance of Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan at the regional and international levels.
The talks focused on close fraternal relations and ways for constructive bilateral cooperation between the three countries and mutual coordination on various issues of mutual interest, in addition to recent developments in the regional and international arenas and challenges facing the region.
The leaders stressed the depth of fraternal and strategic relations between the three fraternal countries, the importance of strengthening, developing and raising them to the highest level in order to achieve common goals and interests.
The leaders also welcomed the upcoming summit to be hosted by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia between the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq and the United States of America.
