Former U.S. President Donald Trump vowed during a Republican Party rally this Saturday to stand up to the “corrupt political establishment” as he seeks to rekindle his hopes in his third, so far hesitant, bid to reach the White House. and legal conditions, Trump, 76, gave a speech to Republican activists and lawmakers in New Hampshire before appearing at a rally in South Carolina.

“We need a leader who is ready to confront the forces that are wreaking havoc in our country,” he told a crowd of several hundred in Salem, New Hampshire.

“We need a president who is ready to hit the ground running from day one,” he added.

The rallies are seen as an opportunity for Trump to revitalize his half-hearted campaign amid criticism for not holding events after announcing in November that he would run in the 2024 election.

However, the ex-president did not make any noticeable changes in his rhetoric, as he repeated his claims that the 2020 election was stolen from him and insulted his political rivals.

However, his most notable criticism was directed against Republican opponents, whom he considered “more dangerous than Democrats”.

He also praised his track record in law enforcement, policing, fighting immigration, and “rebuilding” the U.S. military, vowing to save the country from “destruction at the hands of a selfish, radical, and corrupt political establishment.”

“Now I am more angry and committed than ever,” he continued.

The former real estate mogul is the only high-profile figure to run for president so far, but several prominent Republicans have raised the possibility of presidential contenders amid reports of waning public support for the former president.

Trump is due to fly to Columbia, South Carolina, after Salem’s speech this afternoon, and is expected to introduce his campaign leadership team and a new roster of supporters.

Terrible people

These two states are significant because they are among the first states to have “primaries” for women.

Two states cemented Trump’s lead in 2016 after a lukewarm start in Iowa.

But he is reportedly struggling to maintain a support base in South Carolina, given his support for losing candidates in the November midterms.

And it could end up in a race between Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over the Republican ticket. DeSantis took first place in a poll at the Pro Life National Summit in Washington over the weekend.

However, polls at this early stage of the race don’t always give a clear picture of what’s going on, with some results suggesting Trump’s superiority over DeSantis while others suggest otherwise.

Trump’s biggest obstacle to the GOP nomination appears to be his growing legal troubles as a “special investigator” has been appointed to investigate multiple allegations of misconduct.

“These are very, very, very terrible people, ultra-left prosecutors,” Trump said, vowing to investigate the Justice Department if he is re-elected.

It highlights his dealings with confidential documents that were discovered during an FBI search of his Florida residence, his role in the 2021 Congressional storming, and his attempts to reverse the results following his defeat in Georgia in the 2020 election. .

“In a year, we will win the New Hampshire primary,” Trump told his audience.

“Then, with the help of the good people of the state, we will take back our country, we will take back the White House and fix (the path of) the United States,” he added.
