Honest Tunisian authorities have uncovered a terrorist plan against President Qais Sayed. The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the presence of reliable and confirmed information about this scheme.
A spokesman for the ministry explained during a press conference today, Friday, that the information indicates that there are serious threats to the life and security of the President of the Republic, adding that internal and external parties are involved.
In addition, he stated that last Thursday evening, the ministry prevented a “terrorist” attack on the police and arrested an extremist, whom he called a “lone wolf”, in front of a secret security center, while two security personnel were injured.
The revelation of this scheme comes at a time when the country is going through an economic and political crisis, against the background of the mobilization of Said’s opponents, who launched a legal and constitutional struggle, especially from the Ennahda movement.
