Today, Turkey successfully launched a high-resolution Earth observation satellite into space. And a German news agency said that the locally manufactured “IMECE” satellite was launched today from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in the US state of California at 06:00:48 GMT, indicating, that the satellite, which carries an optical-electronic camera with a resolution of less than a meter, will be in orbit at an altitude of 680 km and will serve the fields of defense, disaster management, the environment, agriculture and forestry.
She added that Luna’s mission is to take pictures from all over the world for five years.
