After conquering television screens in many countries global, turkish series have been translated in the Hausa language – the most talked about language in Nigeria and the second more used in Africa after Swahili – and are broadcast on local channels in the country lately.
Nigerian Zunnurayn Abdul-Wahab is among the fans who fervently admire Turkish television series on Nigerian Channels. While satisfying his curiosity for the history of Turkey with historical television series such as “Muhteşem Yüzyıl” (“The Magnificent Age”) and “Resurrection Ertuğrul” (“Diriliş Ertuğrul”), Abdul-Wahab also learned Turkish thanks to these productions.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA), Abdul-Wahab said he first met Turkish productions with TV series “Adını Sen Koy” (“Prisoner of Love”), which aired on the local channel “Arewa 24” in Nigeria. Abdul-Wahab said that in addition to Turkish culture and family described structure in the Istanbul series attracted many of son Warning.

Later, Abdul-Wahab enrolled in the Turkish language the course has started at the new Yunus Emre Institute (YEE) in the capital Abuja to perfect son Turkish, and thanks to this course, he no longer had problems writing Turkish.
Abdul-Wahab said he learned Turkish grammar and how construct sentences correctly during the lesson. Moreover, he discovered the Turkish culture and improved his mastery of the language.
