Two Palestinian youths were killed and six others wounded by Israeli army bullets during an operation in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus on Saturday evening, the Palestinian Health Ministry said yesterday morning. The ministry said in a statement that the two young men were Bashar Azizi (25), who was shot in the chest, and Abdul Rahman Suleiman (28), who was shot in the head. She added that six more Palestinians were wounded during the operation, two of them in critical condition. For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported 19 wounded during the Israeli military operation in Nablus, including ten wounded by live bullets, four bullet fragments and five wounded and burned. The Palestinian Presidency condemned the operation and the “murder” of the two young men and held the Israeli side fully responsible for it. Nabil Abu Rudayneh, spokesman for President Mahmoud Abbas, said in statements released by the official news agency (WAFA) that “the continuation of occupation aggression against our people is not unusual for occupying governments.”
