Ukrainian authorities gather evidence for potential war crimes committed by Russian forces, Kyiva Ambassador to Washington Oksana Markarova said Friday.

Markarova noted that evidence is being collected for launch international pursuit against Moscow.

Earlier on On Friday, the country’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Russia had attacked a kindergarten and an orphanage in Ukraine during their invasion.

“Together with the bureau from the Attorney General, we are collecting this and other facts, which we will immediately send to The Hague. Accountability is inevitable,” Foreign Minister Kuleba said. on Twitter.

AT news conference in Washington, Markarov also said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was holding a ‘very productive’ phone call with President Joe Biden on Friday.

Amnesty International. Russian bombings kill civilians

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been marked by indiscriminate attacks on civilian areas and strikes on protected objects such as hospitals, human rights organization said Amnesty International.

Such indiscriminate attacks violate international humanitarian law and may amount to war crimes, Amnesty said, adding that son personnel had documented three incidents that allegedly killed at least six civilians and injured at least 12 more.

Amnesty also says the Russian military the direction wrongly claimed use precision weapons only. “The Russian military shows blatant contempt for civilian lives by using ballistic missiles and other explosive weapons with large-area effects in densely populated areas,” said Agnès Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International.
