Today in Riyadh, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the Gulf Cooperation Council hosted an outreach event to commemorate the plight of refugees in the world. UNHCR External Relations Officer Noha Maarouf Ahmed pointed out that UNHCR provides refugees with international protection in cooperation with host countries and vital assistance such as shelter and food, which are basic necessities that ensure a minimum level of human dignity.
Notably, this event included the distribution of a short brochure about UNHCR, as well as a presentation of a moral speech for refugees through the official UNHCR e-portal.
