The decision stated that the complained officer had been appointed by the university to carry out the necessary procedures for the preparation of safety certificates for medical students eligible to study in military hospitals, and, accordingly, two dinars were collected from each student. goals, and the total number of applications reached 629, of which 1258 dinars were withdrawn, and due to the delay in approvals, the Hospitals refused to admit students, which prompted the dean of the college to pay the amount from his account in order to preserve the reputation of the university after it became clear to him that the defendant disposed of the amount.
According to the decision, the defendant charged 150 dinars from a student who asked for forgiveness for a course she did not take, after he misled her into helping her, and after checking her in the reception and registration department, she discovered the reason. The state prosecution charged him with bribery, embezzlement, abuse of office, abuse of power and breach of duty. The Amman Court of Appeal decided to change the charges of non-drawing credit charges and drop them as they were included in the general amnesty law issued in 2019 and found him guilty of fraud and sentenced him to six months in prison. .
